The art looks so much like Dragonball, how come?

It’s not my “natural style” I just try to make it look that way!
I have “lazy” ways of making the art look like Dragonball these days, but it’s something I’ve practiced drawing since I was a kid; you could probably find a lot of its stylistic influence in my non-Dragonball works.

If you ever come across them maybe you can tell! ^^

Is it official? I’ve heard people say that.

I say it a lot on the website and in comments “It’s not official, guys!,” I don’t think you’d find adult content in an official Dragonball manga haha. I’m flattered you’d think that though, it means I matched the style closely enough, which was an attempt on my part to pay respects to the original artist.

Where is the Adult Content?

Ok this question is popular these days, because if you’ve been a reader since hm…. I don’t know many years ago, you know about my “other” pages.
Some “fan service” created mostly for the ladies (because we need to satisfy our Vegebul curiosity amirite!?) 😉
I hope you all managed to download them for safe keeping, because now you can probably only find them floating around the internet. Sorry, but I don’t post them here and I don’t publish any more Dragonball hentai. ^^

Do you write any other mangas besides Dragonball?

Even though I’m both the writer and illustrator of First Kiss, I’ve never considered myself a writer, just an artist.
I don’t tend to create scripts and I’ll rough out dialogue directly into the pages as I draw them — usually ending up with a lot of half-assed manga ideas that I don’t tend to bring to fruition.

So technically, no, but I’m always storyboarding what seems like a manga when I’m trying to get the feel for a character’s personality, find a mood or explore settings for an illustration.

That doesn’t mean I won’t ever write a complete manga besides First Kiss though!

“Yamucha Bashing” (Or any character bashing, for that matter…)

Regarding my views on Yamucha.

I don’t believe I intentionally participate in any “bashing” of any particular character in the Dragonball Universe, but if it appears that way - eh, no one can really control how things may be perceived.

I try to create a relationship between characters from the perspective of the scene as well as the characters who are interacting at any given time. I try not to think of a character as a punching bag for others, but rather an integral piece of an overarching plot that may effect the characters’ behavior/dialogue/actions in any given way, all while trying to keep that character’s personality in tact of course :)

BUT! Upon re-reading the chapters I realized something, it was probably Puar which made it appear as if I were bashing Yamucha!

Yamucha and Puar even though being a little on the silly/humorous side, were not considered “bad guys” at this point in Dragonball Z as they were in the original Dragonball.

I felt it was important to try to communicate that but also let it be known that he’s still a little on the sly side! :) (Even Bulma can be too sometimes imho, but I still like her and the same for all other Dragonball characters and their flaws!)

Because of the complexity of the relationships involved and trying to keep a little bit of balance between the characters perhaps I may have been less than accurate with Puar and Yamucha’s interactions.

Puar is Yamucha’s no.1 supporter, I believe he would agree with and go along with anything Yamucha decides. While I was trying to be true to that, even in having him address him as “Lord Yamucha” as in the original mangas, I realized I had made him appear to second guess Yamucha’s choices, not once, but twice!

In hind-sight Puar probably would have been more agreeable with Yamucha’s choices.

I could never be as accurate as the original author, I could never know the characters as well as he does, and I’m bound to get things wrong and that’s A-OK! Because it’s fan-fiction after all!

So, I’d like to finally clear the air on that one.

I DON’T HATE YAMUCHA!

I actually do like him, arrogance aside… something Vegeta is also pretty guilty of.😄

Don’t ask me about Broli though 😜… a new movie came out and I received new info…that’s all I have to say about that!
